Wireless Network

Access to the wireless network is restricted to students, faculty, and staff. You can connect using an unencrypted connection WUFI or a secure, encrypted connection LAW-S and WUFI-S. We recommend that you use LAW-S whenever possible. This will guarantee that you will be able to access Law School specific Databases. WUFI-S will function perfectly inside and outside the Law School. It is also widely available throughout the University at large. The WUFI-S network is simply not registered with our IP based subscription and if non-law students access these database we would be violating our contractual agreements.

WUFI requires you to logon each time you access the wireless network; WUFI-S and LAW-S will logon automatically without being prompted to do so.

WUFI:

  • Instructions: Open, unencrypted access. Protocols using clear text passwords are not allowed (Telnet, POP, SMTP, etc.)

LAW-S and WUFI-S:
These networks requires your laptop to have a secure wireless client installed that supports EAP-TTLS. Law-S and WUFI-S installer is exactly the same. It will create the wireless networks and set all the necessary configurations. The installer is different depending on your operating system. Select the installer that matches your OS. The Law School highly recommends that you use the Windows Wireless manager (Instructions to enable Windows Wireless Manager).
