3rd Annual International Humanitarian Dialogs
31 August - 1 September 2009
The third annual International Humanitarian Law Dialogs, co-sponsored by the Harris World Law Institute and the Robert H. Jackson Center at the Chautauqua Institution, was an historic gathering of international prosecutors from Nuremberg through present day tribunals. This 2009 installation of the Dialogs brought together renowned prosecutors to honor and discuss the role of women in international criminal law.

The issuance of the Chautauqua Declaration was the culmination of the proceedings of the 3rd Annual International Humanitarian Law Dialogs held at Aug. 31-Sept. 1, 2009. The subject was titled: "Honoring Women in International Criminal Law: From Nuremberg to the ICC (International Criminal Court)."

2nd Annual International Humanitarian Dialogs
25-26 August 2008
The Dialogs, held in the 60th anniversary year of the United Nations’ adoption of the Genocide Convention, addressed issues of international law and criminality, including “ethnic cleansing,” forced service of children in wars, and how international courts identify the perpetrators of such crimes and bring them to justice.
